Esta será la primera Navidad que pase lejos de mi familia, ciudad, país… Bueno, creo que una vez la pasé en otro lado porque necesitaba “rebelarme” y recuerdo que en el momento en que dieron las doce (en Argentina es costumbre esperar hasta medianoche para brindar) me arrepentí tanto!!! La cuestión es que voy a hacer todo lo que esté a mi alcance para tener una Navidad cálida en mi nuevo hogar, que a juzgar por la tradición familiar de la casa debe incluir un panettone sobre el piano.
Por eso, y porque estamos en medio de refacciones, albañiles, carpinteros, y nosotros mismos que a veces oficiamos de pintores… el lunes será la ultima actualización de mi tienda en Etsy por este año. Hoy nos visitaron algunos nuevos personajes, entre ellos:

Así de sofisticada como la ven, ella se levanta a la mañana y va a hacer las compras al mercado local. Después vuelve y cocina huevitos de codorniz con calabaza y cosas por el estilo. El invierno es su estación preferida.
Sophisticated looks and all, Miss fox wakes up every morning and goes shopping at the local farmer’s market. Then she goes back home and prepares delicious quail eggs with butternut squash and that kind of thing. Winter is her favourite season.
Weird bird
La cosa más rara que tiene (y tiene un montón!) es que no podés saber si está usando una máscara o no. Y nunca podrás.
The weirdest things about him (and there are lots of them…!) is that you can’t know whether he’s wearing a mask. And you will never know.
Alexa
Es una chica fuera de serie. Incluso algunos dicen que tiene poderes especiales. Yo no sé a qué se refieren, pero igual me gusta pensar que no pertenece a este mundo.
She is an extraordinary girl. Some people even say she’s got special powers. I don’t really know what they are talking about, but I like to think she’s not from this world.
Birthday boy
Nunca se pierde una fiesta de cumpleaños. No importa de quién, él está siempre ahí. No canta el feliz cumpleaños, no sonríe, no lleva regalos, solo está ahí.
He never misses a birthday party. It doesn’t matter whose birthday, he’s always there. He doesn’t sing happy birthday, he doesn’t smile, he doesn’t bring presents, he is just there.
